ALFEX

The eventful history of Alfex started many, many decades ago on via Nassa, a quaint cobblestone street in Lugano. This enchanting Swiss town with its Italian-speaking inhabitants has always nurtured a decidedly Mediterranean lifestyle.

Alfex dares to be spontaneous so you can dare to be different. Our enthusiasm for design gives us the courage to transform visions into bigger-than-life reality, to translate vitality into objects of desire.

There are countless variations on the theme, and they all begin in the mind. But one thing is certain: every watch model strikes a chord with a group of individuals for whom it aptly expresses a lifestyle endorsement. Georg Plum of Germany, Julia Hou of Taiwan, and Marcus Eilinger of Switzerland are three of the designers who are responsible for the inimitable and often-imitated styles of Alfex watch collections.

From Manno’s headquarter; on the outskirts of Lugano, we serve the steadily growing community of Alfex aficionados in over 50 countries around the globe.

The heart of every single Alfex watch is a high-precision movement made entirely in Switzerland. Because they are very versatile and compact, quartz movements allow designers to implement their visions with virtually no restrictions. All two-hand Alfex watches and most models with subsidiary seconds are powered by quartz calibers, some with alarm functions and big date displays. Our slimmest quartz movement is a scant 1.9 millimeters thick.

The most prominent of our lineup of mechanical movements is the special-edition Valjoux 7750 chronograph caliber with 25 jewels. It features blued screws, circular-grained plates and bridges, and beautiful “Côtes de Genève” striping on the winding rotor and automatic train bridge. It is an ingenious coulisse-lever construction with a tilting pinion. All of our mechanical timepieces have sapphire-crystal casebacks that proudly expose their meticulously crafted Swiss-made movements.
